Protection for homes and businesses (including vehicles) is increasingly in demand. A benevolent form of black magic is employed during these services. The rituals are complicated and somewhat lengthy. Gary will provide the client with a list of articles to purchase in advance as well as the required offerings (ie: beverages and food for the ancestors). The process can take between two and four hours and must be performed at the location. In the case of a business, at least one of the owners must be present and the ritual is best performed outside of regular working hours.

For protection of a home, the assistance of as many family members as possible who are resident in the house is preferred. Please note that homes with a yard or businesses with a perimeter area require the burial of a number of small objects that should be kept away from pets and children. Usually accomplished by covering the burial sites with stones or other heavy objects. The cost of these services depends on the size of the home or business. For large businesses or residential estates, the assistance of another Sangoma may be required. Any travel expenses for additional Sangomas are included in the fee.
